Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-08

This policy describes what Lonely Satellite collects, how we use it, and the choices you have about it. Using the service means you agree to this policy.

What we collect

When you sign in with your Google account, we receive your display name, email address, and profile picture from Google.

Websites you add to the app, including their URLs.

When you connect Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools, we collect your search and performance data from those services: clicks, impressions, click-through rate, average position, top queries, and top pages.

Content from the websites you add. We scan pages (via sitemap, robots.txt, and blog listings) to learn your writing style, and we store samples of that content along with a derived writing-style profile.

Article drafts, topic ideas, SEO metadata, and review results you generate in your workspace.

OAuth access tokens for the Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools integrations you connect.

Aggregate, non-identifying usage statistics, such as the number of sign-ins, websites scanned, and articles generated. These counts cannot be traced back to you.

How we use your data

We use the data we collect to provide the service: unifying your search analytics from Google and Bing, learning your writing style, suggesting topics, writing drafts, reviewing them, and generating publish-ready metadata.

Drafts and topics are generated by sending the relevant content to an AI model. By default this is a provider we operate (OpenAI or Anthropic). You may instead configure the app to use any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, including a local model running entirely on your own hardware. When you connect a third-party LLM service, the data sent there is processed under that provider's terms and privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your content to train or advertise services.

Who we share data with

Google — to sign you in and to fetch your Search Console data.

Microsoft — to fetch your Bing Webmaster Tools data.

AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, or an endpoint you configure) — to process content and queries for suggestion, drafting, and metadata generation.

Note: when you connect Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools, Google and Microsoft, in turn, process data under their own privacy policies.

Cookies and analytics

We use the minimum set of cookies needed for authentication when you sign in. The service does not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or third-party analytics scripts.

Retention and deletion

Your data is stored in a database on servers we operate, and is associated with your account.

You can delete your websites, analytics, scanned content samples, writing profiles, and generated articles at any time using the "Delete all data" option in the app, or contact us at the address below to remove your account records.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active, and securely delete it when you ask us to.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including blocking outbound requests to private and loopback network addresses, rate limits, fenced prompts to reduce injection, and storing OAuth tokens so they never leave the server.

Children

The service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
